Body Measurement Advise
We highly advised you get all the measurements done by a professional. This will allow you to accurately compare the measurements against the size chart.
We have several size charts due to the different dress styles in our collection. Do check the size guide for the styles you are interested in. Use measurements when selecting your size, rather than just going by the size itself.
However, if for some reason you need to measure it yourself, here are some tips.
- Use a tape measure and keep the tape firm to the body, but not too tight
- Measure over your underwear
- To get it right, ask someone to help you take the measurements
Once you have obtained the measurement, compare the results with the measurements in the appropriate style size chart.
For custom measurement orders, we will require measurements to be taken by a professional due to the complexity in the type of measurements required.
Ready Made Style Size Guide Definitions
BUST: Measure around the fullest part of your bust. It is important not to tighten the measuring tape too much, and to make sure it sits horizontally across your body.
WAIST: Measure around the natural waistline – the narrowest part of your waist – keeping the tape comfortably taut.
HIP: Stand with your feet together. Measure around the fullest part of the hips. This is different for everyone; if you are unsure, take several measurements in this region and use the biggest measurement. As a tip, the area is approximately 20cm below your waistline
HOLLOW TO FLOOR: Our Maxi styles length is designed to be until the floor. This measurement indicates how long the dress is. Example, if the Hollow to Floor measurement is 150cm and your height measurement (without footwear) is 160 cm then the dress length will not reach the floor. But if your height is 140 cm then the dress will reach your feet with a further 10 cm in length.
Note that hollow is defined as the area between the collarbones and shoulder. It’s the point that connects the shoulder and neck.
LENGTH: Longest part of the dress.
Custom Measurement Order Requirement
The measurements indicated in the four images below (A to Q) are needed for custom measurement orders. We require the measurements to be taken by a professional.
You can download the custom order measurement form, fill in the measurements and email it back to us at email@example.com. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the measurements provided in the form.
Note that custom sizing provides a closer fit than standard sizing, but the dress may still require final alteration (final fitting) for a better fit or/and to suit any personal preference of how the dress sits on the body.
